Maui did not know what would happen if he would put out the fires with water in the morning. Everyone was angry after they told him to get more fire from the volcano.
Maui went with his friends the birds walking a long but the birds flew away to the volcano and he had to go all by himself to the volcano to get some fire.
When he reached the top he asked his aunty for some fire then she gave one flame then he went to his friends and put it in the water after he kept on doing it after she was left with one flame then she burst out with anger and refused to give away her last fire.
But Maui was running back with wood and he thought fire was in the wood he went back rubbed the woods together and blowing them to make fire. Suddenly the whole forest began to burn. This is how Maui got back the fire. The wind and the fire a good friends because they both can make bigger fires.
