Netiporo (Netball)

Instruction Writing about Netiporo (Netball)

Introduction: Today I'm going to talk about Netiporo (Netball) and some of the rules.

Rules of play

Stepping - When the ball is in play and the ball has been thrown, if a player had grabbed the ball and planted both of his/her feet on the ground they cannot move if they accidentally take another step the ball will be handed over to the opposite team.

Obstruction - Obstruction is when another player is in front of you defending they must be 3ft of 3meters away from the player if not the Umpire will call Obstruction and they would have to stand down so that means they would have to be next to you and not do anything until the ball has thrown then they can move.

Contact - Contact only gets called if someone tries to hit the ball out of your hands or if they accidentally hit your arm then contact would be called and that person would have to stand down.

Replay Ball - Replay happens only when the ball is dribbled or if a goal shooter/goal attack throws the ball and it hits the ground without the ball touching the rim of the hoop, the ball would be played again by the same team.

Penalties - The Offending or Defending player must stand down or if it is a penalty pass for goal shoot/goal attack they could either pass it to any of their teammates or could shoot for the point/goal

"Play Fair and Play Humble and You Can Do This" I would like to inspire any future netball players who are wanting to play just, learn the rules and you should be sweet.

Whakakapinga: Everyone who is interested should give it a try you may like the game so give it a go and then decide.
